Error Codes

Hot tub error codes are not universal. Choose the manufacturer or control system shown on your spa, then confirm the exact code in your owner’s manual.

Why the same code can mean different things

The same letters can mean different things depending on:

  • the manufacturer (Jacuzzi, Sundance, and others each document their own codes)
  • the control system installed (for example Gecko or Balboa)
  • the model line or collection your spa belongs to
  • the manual revision, since manufacturers update displays over time

Always confirm the exact code and wording in your own owner’s manual before acting on anything you read here.

Identify your spa first

If you’re not sure which manufacturer or control system your spa uses:

  • Check the cover of your owner’s manual, which usually names the brand and model line.
  • Look at the control panel or topside keypad; some brands print their name there.
  • Check the equipment bay data label without opening any electrical enclosure; it often names the control system (such as Gecko or Balboa) and a model or serial number.

Once you know the brand or control system, choose it below and match the exact display on your panel to the article that covers it.
