This tool is a planning estimate, not a guarantee. Hose flow and household water pressure can change while you fill. Do not leave a filling hot tub unattended. Confirm the manufacturer's required fill method, fill only to the specified waterline, and do not energize the spa until the owner's manual permits it.
The calculator finds the water still needed by multiplying spa capacity by the unfilled fraction. It then divides that remaining volume by the hose flow rate you enter, after converting gallons and liters with 1 U.S. gallon = 3.785411784 liters when the units differ. Duration is shown in hours and minutes. If you provide a start time, the tool adds the duration on this device to estimate a completion time.
Time how long it takes your hose to fill a container of known volume, then divide the container volume by the number of minutes. Example: a 5-gallon bucket that fills in 1 minute is about 5 gallons per minute. Re-check if you change the faucet opening, hose, or water source.
